Our Support Team

Nobody can do everything. Bethesda Design Web depends heavily on a group of outstandingly talented individuals who pitch in when specific talents are needed.

Deborah Dine,
Principal Designer
Dine's first foray into Web design was in college where she fashioned a crayoned computer screen out of a cardboard box. She uses more sophisticated tools now, but her color sense remains as strong. Her route to Web designing was circuitous, including medical science research, and 15 years as an award-winning journalist. As the latter, she wrote extensively and supportively on education and small business issues. Yet a career in Web design was inevitable, being a combination of all that was intuitive: art, technology, and written communication. Now she develops Web sites using W3C standards-compliant code, Cascading Style Sheets, and up-to-date accessibility requirements. When not refreshing RSS news feeds, she spends time with her family and the family dog, sometimes getting design and content ideas from one and all. (yes, even the dog.)

Dine holds a "top 3" masters in journalism, is certified in two categories by the IWA, and is currently preparing for CIW certification. She edits Web content for the U.S. Dept. of Education and DMOZ, is a member of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and is actively involved in volunteer Web support for Montgomery County Schools.
